ICT equipment

The service has a wide range of ICT equipment to support learning. E-Mail support@buryacl.ac.uk if there is anything you would like to use or to find out more. Training can be provided to help you get started.

Interactive Whiteboards and Voting Kits.

Interactive Whiteboard There are now a number of Interactive Whiteboards, using these is a great way to make your lessons more interesting. Voting kits available which enable you test learners' responses to your questions. You can easily make quizzes and the software records the results in great detail.

Laptops

Available at Bury Adult Education centre and Ramsbottom centre. Each centre has 10 laptops in a mobile cabinet that can quickly be set up. Each laptop has access to the internet and a printer. These are a great resource. To book laptops at Bury centre, complete the equipment form in the caretakers office or email support@buryacl.ac.uk. The provision at Ramsbottom will be confirmed when the center is open.

Accessibility

TrackerballWe have a number of adapted keyboards, trackerballs, document magnifiers and specialist software for learners with accessibility issues. Please contact learningsupport@bury.gov.uk for more information.

Verbatim 5 In 1's

These are little memory sticks with added features. You can use them to take photographs and record sounds and short videos as well as storing files. Great for RARPA.

Digital cameras and video recorders

Video CameraDigital cameras can be obtained from the centre offices. Video cameras are also available and can be used to record interviews and lessons for review.
